Premed Catalyst exists because too many premeds are told to “stand out” without being shown how. We’ve mentored hundreds of students, helping them get into top medical schools—not by gaming the system but by helping them tell stories that actually mean something.
You’re smart. You’re driven. You know you want to be a doctor. But ambition without direction? That leads to burnout—not acceptance letters.
Between the endless checklists, impersonal campus advisors, and advice that changes every week, it’s hard to know what actually matters. And with only 40% of applicants getting even one acceptance, doing everything isn't the same as doing the right things.
Premed Catalyst exists to give premeds what they’ve always needed but rarely get: personalized, strategic mentorship from people who’ve actually done this before.
For the 2024–2025 cycle, every single student who worked with us and submitted on time got accepted. That’s not luck—that’s what happens when you combine tailored advising with smart strategy and real accountability.
We offer honest, no-fluff advising that helps you cut through the noise, focus on what actually matters, and craft an application that tells a powerful, unified story.
You may have seen us on YouTube, where thousands of premeds have tuned in for the same brutally honest advice we give our students behind the scenes.
These videos aren’t just for views. They’re the same insights that fueled our 100% acceptance rate for on-time applicants in the 2024–2025 cycle. From clinical experience tips to calling out acceptance rate myths, we teach what actually works—because we’ve lived it.
“The mentorship program got me to take more action to make opportunities for myself and take greater control of my premed trajectory. ”
Hey, I'm Mike, Head of Mentorship and Co-Founder of Premed Catalyst. I earned my MD from UCLA's David Geffen School of Medicine. Now, I'm an anesthesiology resident at Mt. Sinai in NYC. I've helped hundreds of premeds over the past 7 years get accepted to their dream schools. As a child of Vietnamese immigrants, I understand how important becoming a physician means not only for oneself but also for one's family. Getting into my dream school opened opportunities I would have never had.
Hello! I’m Zach, CEO and Co-Founder of Premed Catalyst. I was premed at UCSD before committing to the startup world. It’s hard being a premed now and it’s only getting more competitive. That’s why I’m passionate about getting our students closer to competitive for their dream medical schools. I was the first employee for 2 years at Healthy Gamer, founded by a Harvard-trained psychiatrist, before starting Premed Catalyst.

You already have the drive. What you need now is direction that actually works.
Premed Catalyst helps students get serious about their applications through personalized mentorship, honest feedback, and a plan that actually works.
Our students have earned acceptances from top med schools like UCLA, UCSF, Vanderbilt, and more—not because they checked every box, but because they learned how to stand out.We keep spots limited on purpose. Real mentorship takes time, focus, and care, and we don’t cut corners on any of it.
